I find deep satisfaction in the creative process and in making things – both functional and aesthetic. Growing up in rural Canada, art became a sanctuary for me when there was little else to occupy my mind and hands. I've always loved learning how things are made and have acquired a wide range of skill and experience with varied media, including oil painting, drawing, collage, printmaking, ceramics, and fiber arts. I received a BFA from Ithaca College and, later, a Masters degree in Art and Design Education from Vermont College of Fine Arts. Now, as a full-time Art Educator working with students of all ages in Boston, and Andover, MA, I am able to share my love of art with young people as they explore their own creative impulses.
